Present Day Media, LLC values your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have across our websites, apps, and interactive experiences.

Scope

Present Day Media, LLC (“PDM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides marketing websites, interactive web experiences, and mobile and desktop applications. This company-wide privacy policy applies to all PDM products and services that link to it, including:

  • PresentDayMedia.com marketing pages: Company and portfolio pages, including contact forms.
  • Snake Sphere for Apple and Android: The Apple and Android game apps and their online services, plus promotional pages at snakesphere.app.
  • Menu Bar Thermostat for macOS: The companion app that integrates with Google Smart Home services.
  • Present Day Media on social media: Our accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, X, Bluesky, TikTok, and LinkedIn, including comments, replies, mentions, and direct messages people send them.

This policy also covers Dark Docs, Sheets & Slides, our Chrome extension for Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. If a product describes additional notice-specific terms, those terms supplement this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate our products, communicate with you, and improve user experience:

  • Information you provide directly: Details you submit through our contact forms, the optional PDM Mailing List signup, or support requests (such as your name, email address, or message content). Snake Sphere does not request an email address or player-entered name for leaderboard entry.
  • Gameplay and service data: Snake Sphere online identity, public Game Center or Google Play Games profile nickname, scores, recorded times, random game-specific public player identifiers, run-integrity data, and tournament or notification state.
  • Diagnostics and analytics: Snake Sphere’s Apple and Android apps use a random analytics installation identifier for limited data about app sessions, gameplay outcomes, ad delivery and revenue events, purchases, app version, device or operating-system information, app store country or region, and ad-permission status, and their release builds send crash reports. Both platforms use network, authentication, notification, advertising, and security services. Firebase Analytics is disabled.
  • Device-local storage: Saved settings, coins, skins, cached scores, pending achievement progress, and other preferences stored on your device. These remain local unless a feature explicitly sends related data to an online service.
  • Social media interactions: When you comment on or reply to our posts or videos, mention us, or send a direct message to one of our social media accounts, that platform shares the interaction with us, as described in the social media notices below.

We do not sell personal information. When you browse our marketing pages, we collect essential log data and website usage statistics through Google Analytics, as described below.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our websites, games, and applications.
  • Operate interactive features such as public leaderboards and saved settings.
  • Measure first-party product engagement, retention, advertising performance, purchases, and reliability.
  • Manage the optional PDM Mailing List and send requested studio communications.
  • Respond to inquiries, feedback, or support requests you send through our contact channels.
  • Monitor reliability, diagnose problems, and protect against fraud or misuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

Third-Party Services & Sharing

We rely on third-party services to host infrastructure and provide certain features. They process information as needed to deliver those features, subject to their agreements and privacy terms:

  • Firebase (Google Cloud): Provides Snake Sphere authentication, online data and functions, push messaging, App Check, and Firebase Crashlytics release reporting on both platforms. Google Analytics measures how visitors use presentdaymedia.com.
  • Google advertising, gaming, and purchase services: Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform provide advertising and consent choices on both platforms. Device or advertising identifiers may be processed when permitted. Google Play Games provides Android ranked identity and achievements, Google Play Billing processes Android purchases, and Play Integrity supports release App Check.
  • Apple services: Game Center, Apple Push Notification service, App Tracking Transparency, and StoreKit provide Apple ranked identity and achievements, notifications, tracking authorization, and purchases for Snake Sphere. Game Center does not provide Snake Sphere leaderboards.
  • PDM mailing service: Processes the name and email address you voluntarily submit to join the PDM Mailing List, sends any required confirmation, and delivers studio communications. Mailing-list signup is not required for gameplay, rankings, advertising choices, or purchases.
  • Postmark: Delivers transactional or support email responses when you reach out through our contact form.
  • Google Smart Home APIs: Accessed by the Menu Bar Thermostat app with your explicit Google Account authorization so you can control selected devices. Data flows directly between your device and Google; PDM does not receive or store these payloads.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads): Provides our Facebook Page, Instagram account, and Threads profile. Through Meta’s official tools, Meta shares comments, replies, mentions, and messages sent to those accounts, along with aggregate post performance, so we can read and respond. Meta also processes this information under its own privacy policy.
  • YouTube (Google): Hosts our YouTube channel. Our private tools use YouTube API Services to publish our videos, read and reply to comments on them, and see our channel’s statistics. Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • X: Hosts our X account. Our private tools use the X API to publish our posts, read and reply to replies, mentions, and direct messages sent to our account, and see our posts’ statistics. X processes this information under the X Privacy Policy.
  • Bluesky: Hosts our Bluesky account. Our private tools use Bluesky’s public AT Protocol APIs to publish our posts, read and reply to replies, mentions, and direct messages sent to our account, and see our posts’ likes, reposts, and replies. Bluesky processes this information under the Bluesky Privacy Policy.
  • TikTok: Hosts our TikTok account. Our private tools use TikTok’s official Business API to publish our videos, read and reply to comments on them, and see our account’s statistics. TikTok processes this information under the TikTok Privacy Policy.
  • LinkedIn: Hosts our LinkedIn company page. Our private tools use LinkedIn’s Community Management API to publish our page’s posts, read and reply to comments on them, and see our page’s statistics. LinkedIn processes this information under the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies & Local Storage

  • Present Day Media marketing pages: Use essential cookies or similar technologies required by our hosting providers, and Google Analytics cookies that measure how the site is used. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland do not receive analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies on these pages.
  • Snake Sphere: The Apple and Android apps do not use browser cookies. They store gameplay settings and progression on your device; supported progression may be synchronized through Firebase when a platform gaming account is linked. Google Mobile Ads may process device or advertising identifiers when permitted; available privacy choices appear in Settings.
  • Menu Bar Thermostat: Stores configuration information locally on your Mac so the app can remember your preferences. No tracking cookies are used.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information in our care. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security issue that affects your information, we will take steps to notify you where legally required.

Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to address your inquiry and maintain records of our correspondence. PDM Mailing List subscriber information is retained while the subscription remains active or as required to honor unsubscribe and compliance records.
  • Snake Sphere account, protected progression, leaderboard, tournament, and notification records remain until deleted through applicable controls or retention processes. Reset Online Data deletes the current online identity, associated active data, and raw analytics where present, and deletes or redacts identifying information in retained tournament, run, or integrity history. Reset also clears queued analytics on the device; non-identifying aggregate and security history may remain.
  • For both apps, raw first-party analytics events have a 90-day retention period and purchase de-duplication records 400 days. Analytics installation records have no automatic expiration and are deleted through Reset Online Data; reinstalling starts a new identifier without deleting previous server records. Aggregate reporting may remain indefinitely. Crashlytics reports follow Firebase’s retention rules.
  • Diagnostic data collected through Firebase and similar services, and website usage data collected through Google Analytics, is retained according to each provider's retention settings. Aggregate website reports may remain indefinitely.
  • Google account tokens for Menu Bar Thermostat remain on your device until you revoke access or uninstall the app.
  • Copies of comments, replies, and messages from our social media accounts are kept in our private tools only as long as needed to respond and manage our accounts, and are deleted sooner on request, as described in the social media notices below.

Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. You can also object to certain processing or ask us to limit how we use your information.

Snake Sphere includes Settings → Reset Online Data to delete the current game account and associated online data as described below. For help requesting deletion outside the app, to exercise other rights, or to make another privacy request, please use our Contact Form. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or other age thresholds as defined by law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post the revised policy on this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For Snake Sphere, material changes to legal rights or data practices also update the app’s agreement version and require acceptance in the app.

Product-Specific Notices

Review the sections below for details that apply to the specific Present Day Media experiences you use. Dark Docs, Sheets & Slides processes page styling and rendered text and images locally in your browser to provide its dark appearance. It does not send document, spreadsheet or presentation contents to Present Day Media, retain copies of your files, or change their saved formatting. Your appearance preferences are stored locally in your browser. The extension contains no analytics, advertising or developer-operated tracking. It may load toolbar graphics hosted by Google; Google’s services remain subject to Google’s privacy terms. Opening the Present Day Media link visits our website, whose practices are described elsewhere in this policy. You can turn off the theme using the extension’s controls, or disable or uninstall it through Chrome.

Present Day Media Websites

Our marketing pages at presentdaymedia.com are informational. We use Google Analytics to understand how these pages are used, such as which pages are visited, how long visits last, the referring site, and general device, browser, and approximate location information. It records page addresses without the private codes in links we email you, such as verification or tester invitations, and it is not used for advertising: Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. We do not run advertising scripts on these pages. The primary way we collect personal information here is through the optional contact form.

  • Contact form: Collects your name, email, and message so we can respond. Messages are routed through Postmark and stored in our support records.
  • Essential hosting logs: Our hosting providers maintain short-term logs (for example, IP addresses and error codes) to secure the site. We review these logs only to diagnose issues or prevent abuse.
  • Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart; visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland do not receive them. No marketing or advertising cookies are set. Hosting providers may use strictly necessary cookies to deliver the site. You can block analytics with your browser's tracking protections or Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Facebook, Instagram, and Threads

We run a Facebook Page, an Instagram account, and a Threads profile for Present Day Media and manage them with our own private studio tools, connected through Meta’s official APIs. Only our team uses these tools.

  • What we receive: When you comment on or reply to our posts, mention us, or send us a direct message, Meta shares your public name or username, your profile picture where available, and the content and time of your comments, replies, and messages. We also receive aggregate statistics about our own posts, such as reach, views, and likes.
  • How we use it: Only to read and reply to you, moderate comments and replies on our posts (for example, hiding spam), and understand how our posts perform. Replies are written by people on our team, not automated. We do not sell this information, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine it with other information about you.
  • Storage and retention: Our tools keep a recent working copy of comments, replies, and messages, plus notes such as whether a conversation has been handled, so our team can respond. We delete these copies when they are no longer needed or when you ask. Meta keeps its own copy under its own policies.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your Facebook, Instagram, or Threads interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your Facebook name, Instagram username, or Threads username. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a comment, reply, or message from Facebook, Instagram, or Threads itself, delete it there.

YouTube

We run a YouTube channel for Present Day Media and manage it with the same private studio tools, which use YouTube API Services. Only our team uses these tools. Use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google processes YouTube data under the Google Privacy Policy.

  • What we receive: When you comment on our videos, YouTube shares your channel name, profile picture, and channel ID, and the content and time of your comments and replies. We also receive statistics about our own channel and videos, such as views, likes, and subscriber counts, which YouTube reports in aggregate.
  • How we use it: Only to read and reply to comments, moderate comments on our videos (for example, holding spam for review), publish our own videos, and understand how our channel performs. Replies are written by people on our team, not automated. We do not sell this information, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine it with other information about you.
  • Storage and retention: Our tools keep a recent working copy of comments and statistics, refreshed regularly from YouTube, plus notes such as whether a comment has been handled. We delete these copies when they are no longer needed or when you ask. YouTube keeps its own copy under Google’s policies.
  • Revoking access: Our tools connect only to our own channel. Its owner can revoke their access at any time in Google’s security settings; disconnecting the channel in our tools also deletes its stored authorization.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your YouTube interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your YouTube channel name. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a comment from YouTube itself, delete it there.

X

We run an X account for Present Day Media and manage it with the same private studio tools, which use the X API. Only our team uses these tools. X processes this information under the X Privacy Policy.

  • What we receive: When you reply to our posts, mention us, or send us a direct message, X shares your name, username, and profile picture, and the content and time of your posts and messages. We also receive statistics about our own posts, such as views and likes.
  • How we use it: Only to read and reply to you, moderate replies to our posts (for example, hiding a reply or muting an account), publish our own posts, and understand how our posts perform. Replies are written by people on our team, not automated. We do not sell this information, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine it with other information about you.
  • Storage and retention: Our tools keep a recent working copy of replies, mentions, and messages, refreshed regularly from X, plus notes such as whether a conversation has been handled. We delete these copies when they are no longer needed or when you ask. X keeps its own copy under its own policies.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your X interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your X username. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a post or message from X itself, delete it there.

Bluesky

We run a Bluesky account for Present Day Media and manage it with the same private studio tools, which use Bluesky’s public AT Protocol APIs. Only our team uses these tools. Posts, replies, and profiles on Bluesky are public; direct messages are private between their participants. Bluesky processes this information under the Bluesky Privacy Policy.

  • What we receive: When you reply to our posts, mention or quote us, or send us a direct message, we receive your handle, display name, and profile picture, and the content and time of your posts and messages. We also see the public counts on our own posts, such as likes, reposts, and replies.
  • How we use it: Only to read and reply to you, moderate replies in our threads (for example, hiding a reply or muting an account), publish our own posts, and understand how our posts perform. Replies are written by people on our team, not automated. We do not sell this information, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine it with other information about you.
  • Storage and retention: Our tools keep a recent working copy of replies, mentions, and messages, refreshed regularly from Bluesky, plus notes such as whether a conversation has been handled. We delete these copies when they are no longer needed or when you ask.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your Bluesky interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your Bluesky handle. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a post or message from Bluesky itself, delete it there.

TikTok

We run a TikTok account for Present Day Media and manage it with the same private studio tools, which use TikTok’s official Business API. Only our team uses these tools. TikTok processes this information under the TikTok Privacy Policy.

  • What we receive: When you comment on our videos, TikTok shares your display name or username, your profile picture, and the content and time of your comments and replies. We also receive statistics about our own account and videos, such as views, likes, and follower counts, which TikTok reports in aggregate.

  • Revoking access: Our tools connect only to our own account. Its owner can remove their access at any time in the TikTok app’s settings; disconnecting the account in our tools also deletes its stored authorization.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your TikTok interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your TikTok username. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a comment from TikTok itself, delete it there.

LinkedIn

We run a LinkedIn company page for Present Day Media and manage it with the same private studio tools, which use LinkedIn’s Community Management API. Only our team uses these tools. LinkedIn processes this information under the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.

  • What we receive: When you comment on our page’s posts, LinkedIn shares the content and time of your comments and replies and, where LinkedIn makes them available, your name and profile picture. We also receive aggregate statistics about our own page and posts, such as impressions, engagement, and follower counts.
  • How we use it: Only to read and reply to comments, react to them as our page, publish our page’s posts, and understand how our page performs. Replies are written by people on our team, not automated. We do not sell this information, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine it with other information about you.
  • Storage and retention: Our tools keep a recent working copy of comments and statistics, refreshed regularly from LinkedIn, plus notes such as whether a conversation has been handled. We delete these copies when they are no longer needed or when you ask. LinkedIn keeps its own copy under its own policies.
  • Revoking access: Our tools connect only to our own company page. Its administrators can remove our tools’ access at any time in LinkedIn’s settings; disconnecting the page in our tools also deletes its stored authorization.
  • Deleting your data: To ask us to delete information we hold from your LinkedIn interactions, email support@presentdaymedia.com or use our Contact Form with the subject “Delete my social data” and include your LinkedIn name. We may need to verify your identity before deleting it. To remove a comment from LinkedIn itself, delete it there.

Snake Sphere — Apple and Android

Snake Sphere is a general-audience game for people age 13 or older on Apple devices and Android. Local play does not require a platform gaming account. The app does not ask for a birthdate or request an email address for leaderboard entry. Data sent to PDM’s online services uses encrypted connections.

  • Private identity and public leaderboards: The app creates a private anonymous Firebase account for online features. Ranked play and platform achievements require Game Center on Apple devices or Google Play Games on Android. Qualifying ranked runs submit automatically at the 20-point minimum. PDM’s Firebase boards are the only Snake Sphere leaderboards. They may show your public gaming-profile nickname, score, recorded time, and random game-specific public player identifier; private Firebase and restricted platform identifiers are not published. Run authorization, timing, integrity, and score-proof information protects ranked play. If you use Link Another Device, PDM connects your game accounts and platform gaming identities across Apple and Android devices to one private game account and combines their progress.
  • First-party analytics and retention: The Apple and Android apps record limited data about app sessions, gameplay outcomes, ad delivery and revenue events, purchases, app version, device or operating-system information, the app store’s country or region, and the device’s ad-permission status (Apple’s tracking permission and Google’s consent status) under a random installation identifier independent of advertising, Game Center, Google Play Games, push, and Firebase Installation identifiers. Raw events have a 90-day retention period and purchase de-duplication records 400 days. Analytics installation records have no automatic expiration and are deleted through Reset Online Data. Reinstalling starts a new identifier without deleting previous server records. Aggregate reporting may remain indefinitely but excludes raw events and account, transaction, and public-player identifiers.
  • Advertising and purchases: Google advertising and consent services may process consent choices, approximate location, device information, advertising identifiers when permitted, and ad delivery or measurement data. Personalization and identifier use depend on consent, device permissions, and provider rules. Snake Sphere requests ads only when Google’s consent service permits them; ads may be limited or non-personalized. Apple processes StoreKit purchases and Google Play processes Android purchases. The app and PDM’s servers receive transaction or purchase-status information to verify and manage entitlements, including refund and revocation notices from Apple and Google; Google Play may receive an obscured game-account identifier. Verified purchases can apply on every device linked to the same game account. Earned progression may be protected and synchronized through Firebase when a platform gaming account is linked. Purchases and earned progression have different restoration rules.
  • Optional services and diagnostics: Firebase Cloud Messaging processes installation and notification tokens, app version, locale, and preferences, plus the device time zone when game news alerts are enabled so news arrives at a suitable local time; Apple also uses Apple Push Notification service. Registration may occur before alerts are enabled; visible alerts depend on permissions and preferences. Release builds on both platforms send crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics, with bounded app, network, audio, and advertising diagnostics on Apple and fixed screen and scene names on Android; development builds do not. Android uses Play Integrity for release App Check. Provider data follows provider retention rules.
  • Choices and deletion: You can play locally without a gaming-account sign-in, decline notifications, and review advertising privacy choices. Account, progression, leaderboard, tournament, and notification records remain until deleted through applicable controls or retention processes. Settings → Reset Online Data deletes the current online identity, protected progression, active leaderboard entries, notification registration, and associated raw analytics and installation records where present. Identifying information in tournament results and run/integrity history is deleted or redacted; non-identifying aggregate and security history may remain. Reset also clears queued analytics on the device and rotates the analytics identifier. Reset does not delete Apple or Google accounts, platform achievements, store purchase history, or provider-controlled data.

PDM does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For questions, privacy requests, or help requesting deletion outside the app, email support@presentdaymedia.com.
